Salaried and retired people income tax is according to the following table:

Freelancers’ income taxed according to the following scale:

For Companies

Business profits, acquired by legal persons who keep double-entry books, are taxed at 26%.

Dividends are taxed at 10%.

Interest is taxed at 15%.

Royalties are taxed at 20%.

Income from goodwill capital transfer is taxed at 15%.

VAT Facts (L.2859/2000)

VAT rates are divided into three main categories:

Standard VAT rate: 23%

Reduced VAT rate (food products etc.): 13%

Over-reduced rate (books, medicines etc.): 6.5%

It is noted that the tax rates are reduced by thirty percent ( 30%), i.e. the standard VAT is 16%, the reduced 9% and the over-reduced amounts to 5%, for the Aegean islands except Crete, Evia and Saronic Gulf islands.
